Ms Shereena Richardson (16) is
a Student in the 4th form of the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive
School (A.L.H.C.S) , with tremendous potential.
She is one of the youngest persons ever profiled in our series,
but is certainly no stranger to the stage or the spotlight.
Anguillians
would have seen her on stage at age 10, as a contestant in The
Prince & Princess Pageant. She credits that early outing
with helping her develop her singing talent and stage presence.
In 2003 and 2005, she finished 1st runner up in the Junior Calypso
competition and in 2006 was a bright star on stage at the
Ms Caribbean Commercial Bank Talented Teen Pageant.
At age 12 she was one of the youngest ever female
J'ouvert artiste in Anguilla, as a performer
with the Next Generation Band.
Currently, at 16 she is also a member of the
Panache Couture model team
and will be modeling in their annual show in July.
EDUCATION
Shereena studies nine subjects at A.L.H.C.S with
Mathematics, Biology, Accounts and Economics being her
favourites.
She has been a recipient of speech night awards for academic
achievements in each of her years at the A.L.H.C.S and has also
debated in the inter-house debating competition, a talent
she also hopes to develop further. WHAT SHE ENJOYS
Shereena says singing is the joy of her life. She is
passionate about her love for singing Soca music and Calypso -
"When I sing, not only am I a Singer, I am a Caribbean girl
singing De Soca." She is a former member of the "Next
Generation Band" and a present member of the "The Infusion Band"
who were the main attraction at the DIGICEL 1 year anniversary
Block Party.
HER GOALS
"My future goal is to become an Auditor and my dream, that I
dream every night is to sing in front of large crowds and travel
the whole world singing. To be on stage gives me such a thrill
and I know I belong no place else."
